The exhibition “HOW TO BUILD A NEST” is the result of ongoing collaborative processes between the artists ELIZABETH KETTLEY CRONFALK (*1984, SE), KATHRIN JOBCZYK (*1990, DE) and MARTINA MÄSIAROVÁ (*1991, SK). Having met in Wroclaw, Poland two years ago, a sudden connection and Gaston Bachelard´s "The poetics of space" brought them together. One year later they met again and build a hen house together, in Nybro, Sweden. In the exhibition at ad/ad - Project Space they proceed their joint explorations of ideas and concepts of the nest.
every summer
I live somewhere else
the room shrinks when I leave it by itself
it needs so much breath
I blow and blow and blow
the volume
the comfy innerness
continuity
security
it will burst
one day
inside out
fragile skin
temporary traces
absence
precarious space
I blow and blow and blow
and wait
and hope
every summer
I come back
